Keto Collagen product review - PrimeSelf blog

Fuel Your Day: A Product Review of Keto Collagen

Health, wellness and fitness trends seem to come and go faster than you can brew a batch of Kombucha tea, but if there are two products that have proved themselves and are here to stay, it’s collagen and MCT oil. Collagen has been the subject of some criticism of late but seems to have come out on top with its popularity only growing. Given that the name of this product is Keto Collagen, it may be worth starting with a brief overview of what exactly the keto diet is and why it has become so popular. However, Keto Collagen is not limited to adherents of a keto diet, so everyone should read on! What is the Keto Diet? You may know this as a low-carb high-fat diet. But here is how it actually works: one of the best ways to lose weight is to lose fat (as opposed to muscle), and we lose fat when we force our bodies to burn the body fat which it has stored. When we consume carbohydrates, the carbs are broken down into glucose (blood sugar) which can either be used by your body as fuel (energy) or it will be stored as additional body fat. When you consume carbs in excess of your energy needs, your body fat accumulates. The answer therefore seems to eliminate carbs (glucose) to prevent this body fat storage, but that means you need an alternative energy source. Lucky for us, there is an alternative, known as ketones which are molecules formed in the liver. Ketones are a great source of fuel and energy for our brains and bodies and are produced when our bodies are in a state of ketosis, which happens when our bodies don’t have enough carbs to make glucose. When your body is in ketosis, you burn stored fat (the liver turns the burned fat into ketones), and the idea is then that you lose weight while having ketones available as a replacement fuel for energy! While the keto diet isn’t effective for everyone (especially women with thyroid issues), millions of people benefit from this lifestyle approach when it is done correctly! Enter…MCT Oil Now that we know what ketosis is, we can understand where MCT oil comes in: the fatty acids in MCT oil can quickly be broken down into ketones by the liver and are readily available for use by your body, which makes it unique relative to other fats like butter or olive oil. Those ketones boost energy and allow you to burn stored body fat without adding to it! So, what exactly is MCT oil? MCT (mostly derived from coconuts) stands for Medium Chain Triglycerides. Triglycerides (tri = three) are three fatty acid groups (long chains of carbon atoms with some hydrogen atoms attached) which are connected to a single glycerol backbone (think of a spine). You can ignore the science but suffice to know that those fatty acids are all bound together with different numbers of carbon atoms. A Short Chain Triglyceride has 5 or less carbon atoms, Medium has 6 to 12 carbon atoms and Long has 13 to 21. This is why you might hear of the different types of MCT oils, either called C6, C8, C10 or C12, each with their own properties. Each of the short, medium or long chain triglycerides have a different purpose. As an example, Short Chain Triglycerides are very important for digestion, and Long Chain Triglycerides are common in food (Omega-3 is an example of a LCT) like olive oil, fish and avo's. MCT’s are quite famous in the keto world though because they are unique compared to all other fatty acids. This is because they can very quickly be used for ketone production. While most fats travel rather slowly through the gut to reach the bloodstream, MCT oil is rapidly available for ketone production and therefore energy production. They go straight from the gut into the liver (where ketones are made), so MCT oils are famous due to their mechanism of action. As mentioned, there are different types of MCT oil, and they are all different. Most effective for a ketogenic diet is C8 (also known as Caprylic acid) because it can be converted to ketones faster and more efficiently than any other MCT and is therefore the highest quality of MCT. Important to note that MCT oil and its benefits is far from limited to only a ketogenic diet! Studies show impressive benefits for cognitive functioning and mental clarity, making it very promising for patients suffering from Alzheimer’s disease, epilepsy and those on the autism scale. Collagen Decoded Our bodies contain protein, and collagen is the most abundant protein in the human body. It is found in our bones, ligaments, skin, tendons, muscles and blood vessels, so kinda essential in holding us all together! There are over a dozen different types of collagen, but types I, II and III are the most famous. The types differ based on the amino acids (building blocks of protein) that form the collagen. Types I and III are popular for maintaining the health and structure of skin, bones and muscles (basically, they reduce the appearance of wrinkles which is why collagen supplementation is so popular), whereas Type II is more supportive of joint health (stops the knee creak when climbing stairs!). As we age, collagen production sadly declines, resulting in the appearance of wrinkles and drying out of the skin. One way to combat this is to simply supplement with collagen! In addition to plumping and hydrating the skin, collagen has also shown to have the following benefits: Supports digestion and heals the gut (gut connective tissue = collagen) Muscle strength (collagen is a concentrated source of amino acid glycine which helps your body to produce creatine) Deeper sleep (glycine promotes better sleep) Nail and hair growth (faster growth and stronger hair and nails) PrimeSelf Keto Collagen PrimeSelf has combined two of their most popular products (MCT Keto Creamer and Collagen) into a single product that serves as a coffee creamer. This powder can easily be added to coffee, tea, shakes or smoothies and is a wonderful addition to a daily routine, whether you’re a keto adherent or not! Some key points to note on the ingredients: goFAT Coconut MCT’s goFAT creates low-carb fat powders that are of the highest quality (think non-GMO and free of artificial ingredients). Their Coconut MCT is in C8 form (i.e. the best kind you can have) and provide clean burning energy for your body. Peptan’s Hydrolyzed Collagen Peptides Bovine Collagen Type I is very similar to the collagen that we have in our own bodies. Type I is the most abundant form in the body and found in scar tissue, tendons, skin, eyes, muscles, cartilage, bones and teeth. Hydrolyzed means that the collagen has been broken down into smaller units of protein (or collagen peptides) which makes the collagen easy to dissolve in liquids and also easier for you to digest and absorb. Peptan is a globally leading collagen peptide brand and their Type I collagen peptides, found in PrimeSelf Keto Collagen, is the same type of collagen as is found in our bones and skin. The quality of the product is well-established (clean and pure). Type I collagen (bovine) is special because while it contains 18 different amino acids, it has particular three amino acids responsible for the majority of the benefit: glycine, proline and hydroxyproline. They are crucial building blocks of collagen and also key to regulating inflammation and the immune system. So, the collagen in this product is basically the Rolls Royce of collagen. L-Theanine L-Theanine is a popular nootropic (found in green tea) for better mental focus, better sleep, relaxation and better cognitive performance. While it is great on its own, it has pronounced synergistic effects when combined with caffeine: all of the above benefits but even more enhanced (which is why green tea is so powerful). The beauty is that it also allows caffeine to give you all of its benefits, but it prevents the jitters and inevitable crash so often associated for people with caffeine. It’s therefore a wonderful addition to a creamer because it let’s the effects of your coffee or tea last longer but staves off the jitters or other side-effects of caffeine.   My Review of PRIMESELF Keto Collagen For a number of years, I’ve been supplementing with grass-fed bovine collagen and I think it has made a big difference for, from finer lines on my face to a real difference in the strength of my nails. It’s definitely one of the supplements that I’ve stuck with through the years when others have fallen away. And while I’ve always been a proponent of a ketogenic diet, it’s only recently that I’ve really started incorporating MCT oil into my daily routine. It has made a massive difference for me. After the initial benefits which I experienced from a mental clarity perspective, I experimented by ONLY drinking MCT oil for 2 days (no food) and was astounded by how satiated I felt, but mostly by the absence of brain fog which I’d been struggling with. I’ve tried a lot of things for mental clarity, so this was amazing and the only thing that’s made a real difference for me. Long story short, I’m a big fan of MCT oil but adding it to my coffee and glugging oil is not my favourite, even if you try to whisk it in. So, you can imagine what a breakthrough product Keto Collagen is for me. It combines the type of collagen that I already use religiously with an MCT powder, giving me all of the benefits of collagen and MCT oil, with the added bonus of it actually making my coffee taste really good! To back up a bit: it has a neutral taste and doesn’t affect the taste of your coffee, but it IS a coffee creamer, and it does that job beautifully. Bulletproof coffee (coffee with butter or MCT oil) purists rightly point out that milk isn’t an ideal addition to coffee: not only is it alleged that the whey protein in milk isn’t stable when subjected to heat, it also contains lactose which has carbs. But I don’t like black coffee. I just don’t. So, with this product, it’s super easy to skip the milk and still have that creamy coffee taste that I love! Convenience supreme! It dissolves in liquid in an instant, which is a joy if you’ve ever experienced the clumps from some collagen brands! If you’re someone who has to eliminate dairy (believe it or not but up to 70% of people are lactose intolerant to some degree), this is your answer if you’re not a fan of black coffee. Even if you’re not on a keto diet, this creamer provides you all the cognitive benefits of a clean-burning fuel, and for everyone following a ketogenic diet, this is nothing short of fabulous as an addition to coffee or smoothies and my new favourite way of drinking my first coffee of the day! PrimeSelf Keto Collagen is a dairy, gluten and grain free creamer that boosts metabolism and mental clarity and improves digestive health. It is a great tool for a fat-only fast.   Disclaimer This information does not serve as medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Unleash Your Inner Superhero: A Review of Adaptogen Complex

I don’t think there’s anyone who doesn’t at some point in time suffer from stress in some shape or form. Whether financial or emotional, relationships falling apart, losing a job or a loved one or really any trauma or stressful event in our lives. Or just living in a stressful environment. Sometimes, that stress becomes overwhelming and could lead to depression, anxiety, anger or an inability to concentrate and cope. I’ve been there. It’s harrowing. And all we want at those times is a magic pill to make it all better. This is also the reason that anti-depressants are so prevalent in our society. A common type of anti-depressant is called Selective Serotonin Reuptake Inhibitors (SSRI’s), and they work by increasing levels of serotonin in the brain. However, given the potential side effects and difficulties to stop using them, I’m really not a fan of SSRI’s, and despite them having a place and being of real value at times, I believe that for most people, we’re better off looking for something that’s going to be safe and effective in the long term. The Better, Natural Alternative Other than feeling miserable in times of stress and sadness, the reality is that if there is one thing that is truly detrimental to our overall health, it’s stress and anxiety. Especially if that stress manifests itself as poor sleep, bad eating habits, increased inflammation, getting sick and skipping exercise. You know what to do – breathing exercises, meditation, prioritising sleep, yoga, walking and playing with your pets. But even finding the energy for these activities or finding the time to do them sometimes seem to add to our stress. Enter…ADAPTOGENS! While adaptogens have been used for centuries in traditional Ayurvedic and Chinese medicine, they’ve become quite the popular kid on the block of late! The recent reawakening of interest in these natural herbs and plants is rather exciting: while we need significantly more studies in humans to fully understand the mechanism of action of adaptogens, it is clear that the beneficial impact of adaptogens is nothing short of a special kinda magic…I’ll get to why that is in a second. Why and how do adaptogens work? Well, it’s all in the name. Adaptogens help you to ADAPT. If you think of the concept of homeostasis (basically a healthy state of being, in equilibrium, your body’s way of maintaining balance) then adaptogens do just that: they assist your body with this process. A simple example of homeostasis is walking into a room that is colder or warmer than where you came from – your body immediately regulates and balances its internal temperature to adapt. This is a return to balance, much like what an adaptogen seeks to achieve. To be classified as an adaptogen, an herb/plant must be safe and non-toxic and have an impact on the reduction of stress and improved resilience. Adaptogens basically has two main areas where they’re going to work: Increase attention/endurance in situations where these are impaired due to stress Increase relaxation and the ability to withstand excessive fight-or-flight activation in response to stress When we can adapt to stress, we perform better, are less likely to get sick and we have a general sense of feeling better. Primeself's Adaptogen Complex This product contains 5 adaptogens that work together synergistically to provide your body and mind with everything that it needs to restore balance and adapt to stressful situations effectively. Let’s take a look at the 5 adaptogens that have been included in Adaptogen Complex. 1. KSM66® (Organic Ashwagandha) – 300mg Ashwagandha is a very popular adaptogen and nootropic and is undoubtedly the adaptogen that has the most clinical research supporting its effectiveness at regulating cortisol (the stress hormone) and its ability to bring about calm. In fact, research shows that elevated cortisol levels can be reduced by up to 25% in as little as a month! That is significant by any standards. KSM66® specifically is an Ashwagandha extract made and trademarked by Ixoreal Biomed. Their particular Ashwagandha extract was created with over 14 years of R&D to create a superior, organic and pure extract to ensure that when you take this Ashwagandha, you actually get the benefits. This particular extract is touted as being the highest concentration, highly bioavailable and full-spectrum root extract on the market, and as demonstrated in their large number of clinical trials showing efficacy, PrimeSelf's Adaptogen Complex contains the best of the best Ashwagandha. 2. Bacopa Monnieri (50% Bacosides) – 300mg Bacopa Monnieri, also known as Brahmi, has been used for centuries in Ayurvedic medicine as a memory and learning enhancer, as well as a sedative. Because it helps to lower stress and anxiety levels (often associated with poor or insufficient sleep), Brahmi is a common herb used to help people sleep at night. As an adaptogen, Bacopa Monnieri increases your body’s resistance to stress and reduces stress and anxiety by lowering cortisol levels, thereby also elevating your mood. Some studies show that dosing with up to 600mg of Bacopa Monnieri could result in a significant reduction in cortisol levels in as little as 2 hours, which is pretty spectacular! Given its additional potential as a cognitive functioning enhancer, this is a great adaptogen to include in Adaptogen Complex! 3. RhodioPrime™ 6x Rhodiola Extract – 200mg Rhodiola Rosea is a rather famous medicinal plant and adaptogen with strong clinical research behind it showing excellent results for stress adaptation and cognitive functioning under periods of stress, which allows you to stave off physical and mental fatigue. Most commonly used for its stress and fatigue-reducing effects, Rhodiola also shows potential for having anti-depressant, anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties. Most impressively, Rhodiola seems to improve symptoms of burnout. A study of 118 people with stress-related burnout who took Rhodiola for 12 weeks showed significant improvement in stress and depression symptoms. 4. Panax Ginseng – 200mg Panax (American) ginseng has been shown to boost working memory, reaction times, calmness and promote the immune system. Most impressive though are the clinical studies which show significantly reduced levels of fatigue in participants, resulting in higher energy levels and self-motivation abilities. This is therefore an excellent adaptogen for when you’re feeling run-down and tired. Ginseng has been shown to regulate our immune response as well as hormonal changes that occur due to stress. It is therefore a true adaptogen due to its ability to maintain homeostasis and an excellent inclusion in PrimeSelf's Adaptogen Complex! 5. Gingko Biloba – 200mg Gingko Biloba, a tree native to China, has been grown for thousands of years for a number of uses. While it’s a powerful antioxidant, it has also been studied extensively for its ability to reduce symptoms of anxiety. In a fairly recent study of 170 participants, it was shown that taking 480mg of Gingko Biloba each day for a month reduced self-perceived symptoms of anxiety by 45% compared to those study participants that took a placebo. This is a significant improvement and is therefore rightfully a very popular adaptogen on the market for restoring calm to the body. My Review of Adaptogen Complex As can be seen from the ingredients of this supplement, the product includes a number of highly effective, best-quality and well-researched adaptogens. I’ve recently been under some emotional and mental strain and have been supplementing with a few of these adaptogens individually, and for the past 2 months with PrimeSelf's Adaptogen Complex. I am happy to report that I’ve found a definite improvement in my mood and anxiety levels since taking Adaptogen Complex. It is formulated intelligently in terms of quantities included and the specific 5 adaptogens that it brings together in one product. Being able to trust the source and purity of the ingredients is a game changer and having read some of the studies on how effective these adaptogens are when compared to placebos, I really do trust not only that these adaptogens can help all of us with restoring balance and calm, but that this particular product will deliver what it promises. Whether we’re going through something or just facing everyday modern stressors from our environment, a little natural support for homeostasis is something that absolutely anyone can benefit from, and I highly recommend this product from personal experience as the gold standard of adaptogen support for improving mood and reducing anxiety!! Magnesium Complex review - unlocking the power of magnesium - PrimeSelf blog

Unlocking the Power of Magnesium: A Review of Magnesium Complex

Magnesium has become a darling of the supplement industry, with good reason. A lot of people are too low in magnesium, especially athletes who sweat a lot and lose a lot of minerals in the process. Magnesium is a miracle mineral for anything from sleep to stress management to performance enhancement. The problem though is that it is poorly understood due to a number of complexities. The questions that are often asked include what form of magnesium is best for what need, what time of day should you take magnesium, how do you test magnesium levels or know that you have a deficiency and how do you know if the magnesium you take is actually absorbed? These are all very valid questions, especially given that the mere number of different kinds is a minefield on its own. Types of Magnesium Magnesium Citrate Magnesium Chloride Magnesium Glycinate Magnesium Malate Magnesium Oxide Magnesium Taurate Magnesium Oratate Magnesium Sulphate Magnesium Lactate Magnesium Carbonate Magnesium Threonate I was surprised when looking at a number of magnesium supplements to see that they don’t always state which kind of magnesium is used, because the above all have different uses, different bioavailabilities (how much is absorbed and how much is peed out) and some might have such a laxative effect if not taken correctly that you sure as sh*t (pardon the pun) are not going to make it through the night despite taking it as a sleep aid! So, let’s demystify the unanswered questions and confusion around this magnificent mineral. Bioavailability We want a form of magnesium that is highly bioavailable. Bioavailability is the proportion of magnesium that actually enters your bloodstream and therefore able to have an active effect. However, there are limits to this. Take magnesium citrate as an example: it has high bioavailability but its absorbed so quickly that it has an impressive diarrhoetic effect, in which case there was no point to taking magnesium in the first place because you’re losing water and therefore minerals. So yes, it’s highly absorbable, but it’s also going to run right through you! Measurement If you’re unsure if you’re deficient, you want to take a Red Blood Cell (RBC) magnesium test. A typical serum magnesium blood test only measures about 1% of your magnesium which is in the serum (blood plasma) and while it is an indicator, it doesn’t measure the bulk of the magnesium. We want the most of our magnesium in our red blood cells to be in our bone marrow, where it is actually going to be functional. When you get a serum test and it shows high levels of magnesium, it could actually mean that you’re low in magnesium because when you’re deficient in magnesium, your body pulls it from the red blood cells and from the marrow and puts it into your bloodstream, which is why you get a high serum count. Get the RBC magnesium test. Chelation Chelation means that a substance has the ability to bind with something, typically a heavy metal (and is therefore good for detoxing heavy metals as an example as it binds to the metal and transports it out of your system). A chelated form of magnesium is therefore typically superior as it can help excrete something or enhance the effect of something. Magnesium Bath Magnesium chloride or magnesium sulphate (Epsom salt) are popular forms for adding to a bath and is touted to be good for sore muscles and relaxation. When you bath in these, magnesium levels in our blood do indeed go up, but there is some controversy as to whether this is from absorption through the skin or through inhalation. It is a good strategy, but it may be less effective than we initially thought and while it’s a nice addition to a detox protocol, these forms are probably not a good daily source to keep your magnesium levels optimal. Magnesium Through Food You can get magnesium through food, notably through greens, nuts, seeds, dry beans, whole grains, wheat germ, wheat and oat bran. This might not be true for everyone but other than the greens and nuts, I don’t consume many of these in sufficient quantities to keep my magnesium levels topped up. I think this is one of those minerals where many people (especially people who exercise and sweat regularly) could benefit from supplementation, particularly for the sleep and relaxation benefits. Magnesium deficiencies Studies suggest that up to 75% of people don’t meet the recommended daily intake of magnesium. A deficiency could result in muscle cramps, fatigue and twitches, mood and depression concerns, osteoporosis, fatigue and high blood pressure. Now that we’re all magnesium magicians, let’s get down to the forms of magnesium included in the PrimeSelf Magnesium Complex. What is in Magnesium Complex? Magnesium Glycinate (as Bisglycinate Chelate from (TRAACSⓇ)) Magnesium Glycinate is transported through the intestinal wall, so it’s not going to give you the laxative issues that other forms of magnesium can have. On top of that, it has high bioavailability, making this an ideal form of magnesium. The only constraint is that it’s a relatively pricey form of magnesium. This form of magnesium has a potent calming effect, especially due to the glycine that it is bound to, which is an amino acid with calming properties. It has been chelated and bound to glycine, which enhances its ability to calm nerves (without making you drowsy). Not to get too sciency, but you get something called an NMDA receptor, which is the part of a neuron that acts as a gate to the neuron. The role of magnesium molecules is to sit on this gate and protect it from calcium. When calcium gets in the gate, an excitatory response is triggered which literally causes anxiety. If you have magnesium squatting on the gate acting as a guard, it will nullify this impact of calcium. If there is no magnesium guarding your neuron gate, boom, anxiety. Our bodies are so incredibly clever, but we need to give it the tools it needs to do its job. Add to that the glycine element which has a calming effect on your neurotransmitters, magnesium glycinate is probably the gold standard of magnesium, especially when it comes to promoting restful sleep. Magnesium Malate (as DiMagnesium Malate from TRAACSⓇ) This chelated form of magnesium is compounded to be dimagnesium malate and allows the magnesium to be absorbed very, very slowly yet effectively. As a result, you get a sustained release of magnesium without the laxative effect. What makes magnesium malate so interesting is that it’s quite powerful for the body’s energy production cycle (it supports ATP production which basically powers your cells to give you energy). Malate is the ionised form of malic acid, something that we find in unripe apples and it has powerful energy production abilities. Magnesium malate is therefore really great for energising us while also addressing muscle pain by relaxing our muscles and preventing muscle cramps. Similarly to magnesium glycinate, magnesium malate promotes relaxation without drowsiness and won’t leave you feeling groggy. This is a useful supplement both in the morning and in the evening: it keeps you calm and focused during the day and aids relaxation at night. Stacking tip: studies show that magnesium malate stacked with creatine improve time to exhaustion for endurance athletes, power increases and a reduction in body fat percentage. Magnesium L-Threonate (as Magtein): Magtein® is a patented form of Mg that readily crosses the blood-brain barrier for utilisation in the brain. Laboratory studies indicate that Magtein® supports brain health and may facilitate learning and memory, as well as a relaxed mood.  It actually became quite famous for its treatment of PTSD patients and has been used in a military context for this reason. There are also animal studies pointing to magnesium Threonate being very useful for short term memory enhancement. Magnesium Threonate as Magtein® is again a highly available form of magnesium and popular for cognitive enhancement as well as sleep promotion and therefore a great addition to this supplement. SHOP HERE: PrimeSelf Magnesium Complex My Review of Magnesium Complex If you comb through the extensive literature on magnesium, it consistently points to magnesium glycinate, malate and threonate being superior forms of magnesium, from a chelation, availability and effectiveness standpoint. I started incorporating two capsules of Magnesium Complex in my morning and evening routine, using the maximum recommended dosage of 4 capsules per day. I’d previously been taking a magnesium citrate supplement combined with calcium but based on the research for this review I decided to make an immediate switch to using only Magnesium Complex so that I could properly assess its impact. I love this product. I think this has had a more drastic impact on anxiety levels for me personally than a number of other nootropics which are known for promoting calmness, and my Oura ring score for restfulness has noticeably improved since using Magnesium Complex. It’s difficult to review a measurable impact given that so many factors impact on our daily anxiety and restlessness levels, but it would be very difficult to convince me that Magnesium Complex didn’t have a material impact on both my ability to cope with daily stressors as well as improved sleep and a general sense of wellbeing, especially before bedtime. As with all the PrimeSelf products, the dosages included in the supplement are on top of latest research recommendations and it is very cleverly formulated by including these particular forms of magnesium. They are the quality forms of magnesium and this is so important because nothing is more expensive than an inexpensive supplement that you pee straight out without providing any benefit. Nootropics and Adaptogens: Nature's Answer to Cognitive & Physical Wellness

In today's fast-paced world, the quest for enhanced cognitive function, improved focus, and increased energy is more prevalent than ever. Enter nootropics and adaptogens – two categories of natural supplements that have gained significant attention for their potential benefits in supporting mental clarity, stress resilience, and overall well-being. But what exactly are nootropics and adaptogens, and how do they differ? Let's delve into the fascinating world of these natural remedies and explore their unique properties and benefits.   What Are Nootropics and Adaptogens? Nootropics Nootropics, often referred to as "smart drugs" or "cognitive enhancers," are natural or synthetic substances that may improve cognitive function, memory, creativity, or motivation. They work by enhancing neurotransmitter activity, increasing cerebral blood flow, and supporting brain cell health. Common natural nootropics include herbs, amino acids, vitamins, and other nutrients that have been studied for their potential cognitive-enhancing properties. Adaptogens Adaptogens are a unique class of herbs and mushrooms that help the body adapt to stress, restore balance, and promote overall wellness. They work by modulating the body's stress response system, supporting adrenal function, and enhancing resilience to physical and mental stressors. Adaptogens are known for their ability to increase energy, improve focus, and promote a sense of calm and well-being without causing sedation or stimulation.   Nootropics vs. Adaptogens: Differences and Similarities While both nootropics and adaptogens offer potential benefits for cognitive and physical health, they differ in their primary mechanisms of action and applications. Differences: Primary Function: Nootropics primarily target cognitive function, memory, and mental clarity, while adaptogens focus on supporting the body's stress response, energy levels, and overall balance. Mechanism of Action: Nootropics work by enhancing neurotransmitter activity, cerebral blood flow, and brain cell health. In contrast, adaptogens modulate the body's stress response system, support adrenal function, and promote homeostasis. Applications: Nootropics are often used to enhance focus, memory, creativity, and productivity, while adaptogens are commonly used to increase energy, reduce fatigue, improve resilience to stress, and promote overall well-being. Similarities: Natural Origins: Both nootropics and adaptogens are derived from natural sources, including herbs, mushrooms, amino acids, vitamins, and other nutrients. Holistic Approach: Both categories of supplements support holistic health by addressing underlying imbalances, promoting balance, and enhancing overall wellness. Potential Benefits: While the specific benefits may differ, both nootropics and adaptogens offer potential advantages for cognitive function, mental clarity, energy levels, and stress resilience.   Best Known Nootropics and Adaptogens Best Known Nootropics: Bacopa Monnieri: Known for its potential to enhance memory, cognitive function, and mood. L-Theanine: Found in green tea, L-Theanine promotes relaxation, focus, and attention. Ginkgo Biloba: Supports cerebral blood flow, memory, and cognitive function. Panax Ginseng: Enhances energy, mental clarity, and overall cognitive performance. Best Known Adaptogens: Ashwagandha: A powerful adaptogen that helps reduce stress, improve energy levels, and promote overall well-being. Rhodiola Rosea: Known for its potential to increase energy, reduce fatigue, and enhance mental performance. Cordyceps: A mushroom adaptogen that boosts energy, stamina, and athletic performance.   Benefits of Natural Nootropics and Adaptogens Choosing natural nootropics and adaptogens for supplementation offers several compelling benefits: Safety and Efficacy: Natural nootropics and adaptogens are generally considered safe and well-tolerated, with fewer side effects compared to synthetic alternatives. Holistic Health Support: Natural supplements support holistic health by addressing underlying imbalances, promoting balance, and enhancing overall well-being. Versatility: Natural nootropics and adaptogens offer a wide range of potential benefits, making them versatile options for supporting cognitive function, energy levels, stress resilience, and overall vitality. Sustainability: Many natural nootropics and adaptogens are sustainably sourced and environmentally friendly, aligning with ethical and eco-conscious lifestyle choices.    Nootropics and adaptogens offer unique and complementary benefits for enhancing cognitive function, supporting physical health, and promoting overall wellness. While nootropics focus on cognitive enhancement, memory, and mental clarity, adaptogens work to support the body's stress response, energy levels, and overall balance. Choosing natural nootropics and adaptogens for supplementation provides a safe, effective, and holistic approach to optimizing brain health, supporting stress resilience, and promoting overall vitality. Whether you're seeking to boost your cognitive performance, improve your energy levels, or enhance your resilience to stress, natural nootropics and adaptogens offer promising solutions rooted in the power of nature.

Revealing Your Brain’s Hidden Potential with Prime Mind

Have you heard those stories about how we don’t actually use our brains to their full potential? Do you ever feel like your brain could use a little boost? Whether you’re feeling foggy, struggling with focus or just wanting to perform at your best, Prime Mind might be the solution you've been looking for. Prime Mind is so much more than that though. Read on and we'll explore how Prime Mind can help boost your brain power, improve your memory, clear brain fog, and even help with conditions like autism and ADHD. Prime Mind for Boosting Brain Power Prime Mind is literally a turbo boost for your brain. It’s an upgrade of the supercomputer that is your brain! With ingredients like Vitamin B6, Lions Mane Mushroom, and Alpha GPC, you can completely enhance your cognitive function and optimise your mental performance. Whether you’re dealing with a particularly tough project at work, studying for an exam or just wanting to discover the capabilities of your brain, Prime Mind can help you to stay focused, alert and ready to perform at your best. Prime Mind for Improving Memory We’ve all experienced those moments where you walk into a room and forget what you went there for, or when you just can’t remember someone’s name even though you know you know it! Prime Mind includes ingredients like Bacopin™ and Phosphatidylserine, which have been shown to support memory function. In more complex terms, Prime Mind enhances the production of neurotransmitters (the messengers in your brain), and increases the blood flow to your brain, enabling your brain to work harder and remember things better. Prime Mind for Autism Autism spectrum disorder (ASD) is a developmental and neurological disorder that affects how individuals learn, behave, communicate and interact with others. Individuals with autism also often experience challenges with cognition and focus. Prime Mind is not by any means a cure for autism, but some of its ingredients, like Lions Mane Mushroom and Alpha GPC, may help support the cognitive function of individuals with ASD. Lions Mane Mushroom has been studied for its affect on memory and cognitive function, and has been studied specifically in the autism space as well. Prime Mind for Clearing Brain Fog Brain fog can make it feel like you’re wading through a swamp of thoughts with no way to get out. You can’t think clearly or focus on the tasks at hand. With ingredients like Lions Mane Mushroom and Pine Bark Extract, Prime Mind helps clear away that fog. These ingredients support focus and mental clarity, enabling you to think clearly, focus on tasks and execute them to the best of your ability. Prime Mind as a Natural ADHD or ADD Drug Alternative Attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) and attention deficit disorder (ADD) are both neurodevelopmental conditions that have an affect on inattention, impulsivity and hyperactivity. Medication is often prescribed for these disorders, and these medications often come with some not-so-great side effects. For this reason, many people are searching for natural alternatives. Prime Mind was formulated by our founder for this exact reason. Prime Mind contains ingredients that may help support attention and focus, without the side effects of the traditionally prescribed medications. For example, Huperzia Serrata is a herb that contains Huperzine A. This may help increase levels of acetylcholine in the brain, which could potentially improve focus and attention. Another ingredient, Alpha GPC, is a compound that has been shown to support cognitive function and may help individuals with ADHD or ADD manage their symptoms better.   In conclusion, Prime Mind is more than just a supplement – it's a game-changer for your brain. With its scientifically backed formulation and powerful ingredients that are inspired by nature, Prime Mind can help you reveal your brain's hidden potential, boost your cognitive performance, and enhance your overall quality of life. So why wait?
